Liverpool risk losing out on big money if they fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League as Jurgen Klopp’s men sit outside the top four in the league standings, according to The Mirror.
The Reds are all but certain to rebuild their squad over the summer after a disappointing season this time around with Jordan Henderson and Co. facing a stern challenge to pip rival clubs in the race for a Champions League finish.
Klopp’s side are facing the growing prospect of Europa League football next season and this could hurt the pockets which could see Liverpool miss out on up to £100 million should they fail to make it to Europe’s elite club competition.
This turn of events could play spoilsport to the Anfield outfit’s plans of moving in for the England talent Jude Bellingham who is expected to spark off a transfer war between some of the biggest clubs across the land this summer.
Liverpool are also looking to strengthen in defence with the likes of Joel Matip and Joe Gomez far from convincing in their time on the pitch this term which could prompt Klopp into looking for another centre-back.
