Liverpool Eye 18 Year Old Sensation As Daniel Sturridge Replacement

After the speculation around Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge regarding the betting scandal, the Reds are poised to sign young Cyril Ngonge in the January transfer window.

In a shocking report published recently, Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has been involved in a serious scandal which could possibly follow suspension for weeks together. The England international was accused of breaching FA (Football Association) rules and regulations when he made a loan move from Liverpool to West Bromwich Albion in the January transfer window.

Sturridge has already denied these allegations but if he is found guilty then the 29-year-old will face a lengthy spell without being able to play. With Liverpool competing for big honors this season, Sturridge is set to play a major role in the upcoming run of fixtures throughout the season. If Sturridge is unable to play for Liverpool, the Reds will receive a massive blow as he is a great option to come off the bench as he scored four goals and notched up an assist in just 350 minutes of footballing action.

But Liverpool cannot rely on everything to be rosy and positive; therefore, Jurgen Klopp has urged the transfer board to sign a striker who can score goals for the Merseyside outfit this term. Divock Origi is set to be sold in the summer while there is only little faith in Dominic Solanke. Apart from Roberto Firmino, there is no solid option to lead the front line.

According to the latest reports, Liverpool has identified Club Brugge KV Under-19 star Cyril Ngonge as their prime target in the winter. The 18-year-old sensation has already scored four goals this season in the youth Champions’ League Group Stages and could bolster Liverpool’s front line with his pace and goalscoring ability.

Liverpool will have to fight against some top teams as Ngonge is catching the eye of top clubs across Europe. He seems a bit too young to take on such a massive mantle at Liverpool and it’s a big risk that Liverpool may have to take it they want to put faith into youngsters.
