Liverpool Set Sights On Euro 2024 Sensation Who Will Cost £65m

Liverpool is reportedly very confident about making a big signing from Euro 2024 which could cost around £65 million.

Their activity in the summer window has only just started as the new manager wants to make an already strong squad better.

Marc Guehi is the name which is on their ‘main targets’ list in reinforcing the team.

Following Euro 2024, Liverpool have now set their sights on strengthening their squad, and it has emerged that they are targeting two England internationals.

Marc Guehi and Anthony Gordon have been connected with transfers to Anfield, but as good as he was, Guehi shone brightly during a very impressive show in the tournament.

Indeed, despite interest from Newcastle United, Liverpool remain keen to bring the Crystal Palace defender to Merseyside.

Slot’s immediate attention would be on a defensive reinforcement, as rumors suggest that Liverpool is within inches of signing Sporting CP centre-back Goncalo Inacio.

The 22-year-old Portuguese center-back could join for a fee of approximately £52 million.

Another rumored target has been Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, while he would just offer cover or competition for Luis Diaz on the left wing.

Marc Guehi’s abilities has risen significantly on the back after some fine performances for England at Euro 2024.

The 23-year-old formed a fine partnership with John Stones to help England reach the final.

Guehi averaged 2.2 successful aerial duels and two clearances per game at the tournament.

He also completed 93.5 percent of his passes in the competition.

His level of consistency has not gone unnoticed, with teammate Kyle Walker praising his contributions.

Sources have confirmed that the club is very confident about signing Guehi.

Crystal Palace values this young defender at £65 million, and he may well end up becoming the long-term substitute for Virgil van Dijk.

Both Guehi and Van Dijk play in the left slot of the centre defense; therefore, maybe Liverpool will either need to change the line-up or alter their tactics if the need arises.

Despite the optimism, there is a feeling that some of Guehi’s performances at Euro 2024 may actually lead to inflate his price.

Therefore, sporting director Michael Edwards and his team will have to make sure that Guehi is the right man for the job and should really worth the money.
