Liverpool hope to make major inroads in their attempts to bolster the attacking line at Anfield with Jurgen Klopp’s Merseysiders set to open talks with PSV for their talisman Donyell Malen.
Reports from TeamTalk claim that the Dutch forward is courting attention from Liverpool who are keen to bring in a new attacking name to supplement the likes of Firmino, Salah and Mane alongside last summer’s recruit Diogo Jota.
With Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi heavily tipped to head out the exit door at Anfield, Klopp is being urged by a large section of the Liverpool fanbase to use the ongoing transfer window to sign a new striking option.
Donyell Malen has been a star turn for PSV Eindhoven since his move to his homeland and on the back of his 19-goal spell just this past season, the 22-year-old is sure to be a name to watch out for this summer with a host of top clubs eyeing up a move for him.
A €30 million fee is believed to be PSV’s asking price for the Holland international and this is understood to be within Liverpool’s financial reach despite Klopp having a significantly smaller transfer kitty to work with this time around.
