Liverpool are scouting the transfer market for goalkeeping options ahead of the summer window with Jurgen Klopp keen to bring in an able shot-stopper to provide cover for Alisson Becker at Anfield.
The Reds have a couple of options at this disposal for now in the form of the veteran Spaniard Adrian and the Irishman Caoimhin Kelleher, the latter of whom was given an extended run of first-team involvement earlier this season when Alisson was injured, but Liverpool are still on the hunt for another option between the sticks.
Reports from the Daily Mail claim that Kelleher could be on his way out of Anfield in the summer on a loan deal with Liverpool eager on the young goalie gathering some valuable game-time before making himself a viable first-team option on Merseyside.
Moreover, with speculation over Adrian’s long-term future and Anfield outcast Loris Karius being targeted by German club Stuttgart, Klopp is rumoured to be searching for a keeper which could have led the Liverpool gaffer to Aston Villa’s Tom Heaton.
The England international is understood to be a target for the Merseysiders despite being linked with a return to Old Trafford meaning Liverpool could be engaged in a battle with their arch-rivals for Heaton’s signature.
