Liverpool show interest in signing Ajax winger Antony next summer

Liverpool have been credited with an interest in signing Ajax winger Antony next summer with Jurgen Klopp keen to add to his attacking options at Anfield after a quiet transfer window this summer.

Antony has earned comparisons to Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain talisman Neymar on the back of his stellar run of form for Ajax with his pace and dribbling skills subject to much plaudits.

Reports from Goal suggest that Liverpool are among the host of European club football bigwigs who are in line to make a swoop for the Brazilian forward with Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Barcelona also right in the mix.

Jurgen Klopp is bereft of quality depth in his attacking roster on Merseyside with only Diogo Jota a big-name player at his disposal to provide cover for Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in the forward roles.

The likes of Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi are unlikely to make their way into Klopp’s first-team plans for Liverpool with the duo afforded game time in the Carabao Cup early on in this new campaign.
