Liverpool are speculated to close in on Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma’s transfer for the forthcoming January transfer window.
The Mali international has been a longstanding name on the shopping list for the Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp who has been backed to bring in a fresh face for his midfield roster at Anfield.
Gini Wijnaldum, the long-serving Liverpool midfield anchorman, left the club this summer to sign for Paris Saint-Germain and that has forced Klopp to scout the market for reinforcements with Bissouma understood to be his priority target.
Despite failing to land Bissoumsa’s signature in this summer’s transfer from Brighton, Liverpool have kept tabs on the player and reports from Fichajes claim that the Reds could be in line to reach an agreement with the Amex outfit on a deal for the Premier League star as early as January.
The Anfield giants will be required to fork out a transfer fee in the region of £30 million, according to the rumour mill, with Brighton keen on offloading their first-team star only for a sizable bid coming their way.
