Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson helped a much-changed Liverpool to a 3-0 win over Bournemouth and the midfielder then claimed it is “easy” for the unbeaten Premier League leaders to maintain their good form in England’s top flight due to the depth in their squad.
The Reds manager Jurgen Klopp made seven changes from the side that beat local rivals Everton 5-2 on Wednesday and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and Mohamed Salah were on target as they made their way into the starting eleven against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
The win over the Cherries was the 15th out of 16 in the English top division this term as it ensured that they will end the day 11 points clear at the top of the table depending on how Leicester City fare tomorrow.
As the 52-year-old Klopp has begun the shuffling of his pack at the start of a grueling run of games this month, the 29-year-old Henderson was asked by reporters whether it would be difficult to maintain momentum when such wholesale changes are made.
And the Liverpool skipper replied by stating that the good players in the squad that work hard every single day make it easy with the changes, “When you’ve got so many good players, it’s easy. They’ve been working every single day, not only the people that might have played a lot of games. People might want more game time but in training, the intensity is always high, everyone’s pushing each other, and I think the lads that have come in have been outstanding”
The Merseyside giants also recorded their first clean sheet since September as Bournemouth failed to register even a single attempt on Alisson’s goal.
