Liverpool FC are gearing up a summer swoop for the in-demand Udinese midfield star Rodrigo De Paul as the Argentine international is eyed by Inter Milan going into the close-season transfer window.
A faltering title-defence campaign on all fronts this season by the Merseysiders is understood to have convinced Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp of planning a major overhaul of his first-team ranks in the summer, according to reports from Express.
De Paul’s impressive run of form has made him a key target for clubs across the continent and Liverpool FC’s interest in the midfielder will be fought by Italian giants Inter Milan.
However, the Anfield outfit are believed to have the upper hand in signing the Udinese man over Antonio Conte’s Milan-based outfit as Klopp would not fret over shelling out a fee in the region of £26 million to sign his target to the Merseyside club.
Liverpool FC’s need to shore up their existing midfield options has been well documented since the Gini Wijnaldum contract saga broke out and the Dutchman’s resolve to leave Anfield in the summer is bound to lure the Reds of using the market for bringing in additional reinforcements.
