Liverpool are reportedly stepping up their efforts to sign Brighton maestro Alexis Mac Allister but face heavy competition for the player’s services.
Mac Allister, who was a stellar figure for the World Cup winners Argentina last year in Qatar, is reckoned to be one of the in-demand names in the transfer market ahead of this summer.
With Jurgen Klopp’s Reds looking to bolster their engine room before the next season gets underway, the Brighton midfielder is said to be one of the names on Liverpool’s shortlist of candidates having proven his quality in the Premier League.

According to a recent tweet by Cesar Luis Merlo, Liverpool’s interest in moving in for the 24-year-old could be challenged by the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United with the Premier League big boys keeping tabs on Mac Allister’s situation at the Amex.
Liverpool will find themselves on the search for midfield reinforcements with Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain set to leave the fold as free agents when the transfer window reopens for business.
