Liverpool strike an agreement with Aberdeen for Calvin Ramsay

Liverpool have reportedly reached upon an agreement with Aberdeen for Calvin Ramsay with Jurgen Klopp set to land his third signing of this summer’s transfer window.

Ramsay had emerged as one of the top names on the shopping list for the Reds gaffer Klopp who is looking to add cover in the right-back role with Neco Williams likely to be offloaded ahead of the start of the next campaign.

Fulham are leading the race to sign their former loan player and should Liverpool receive a reasonable bid, Williams could be on his way to Craven Cottage with the Wales international desperate for regular first-team action away from Anfield.

According to a report from The Daily Express, it is claimed that Ramsay is closing in on joining Liverpool with the Merseyside bigwigs set to pay Aberdeen an initial £4 million with an additional £1.5 million in appearance-related bonuses.

The 18-year-old full-back would be Liverpool’s third new recruit of the window after the transfers of 22-year-old attacking midfielder Fabio Carvalho from Fulham and 34-goal Benfica dangerman Darwin Nunez.
