The Egypt international and his representatives are holding out for a much-improved offer from the Liverpool camp, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, with contract talks understood to be broken down.
Liverpool’s offer extended to Salah in December has been turned down by the player and his agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, with the Anfield giants risking losing out on the 29-year-old wide player for free when his current terms come to a close next year.
Salah, however, is believed to be keen on staying put on Merseyside with Liverpool but wants a major hike in his wages to go along with the performances he has delivered on a consistent basis over the course of the season.
