Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah is set to return early from his Egypt international duty after the decision made by the national team boss Rui Vitoria.
Salah netted twice in Egypt’s 3-0 win over Niger on Friday but would not play any part in his country’s next game against Liberia this Tuesday with the winger making the travels back to Merseyside.
Egyptian Football Associations’ Twitter page put out the statement that Salah will be left out of the squad for Tuesday’s fixture with his early release from international duty sure to delight the Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool are set to face Brighton on Saturday in the Premier League and Klopp will be counting on his star attacker to rediscover his lethal self in front of the goal which had gone missing in the early stages of the new campaign.
The 30-year-old, who signed a long-awaited extension at Anfield in the summer to become Liverpool’s highest-earning player in history, found the back of the net when the Reds last took the field against Ajax prior to the international break.
