Liverpool are being talked up as the favourites to sign Paris Saint-Germain rebel Kylian Mbappe whose future in the French capital remains up in the air.
The World Cup-winning forward’s future has attracted much speculation of late amid reports that he was growing unsettled at the club where he signed a new long-term deal, worth £220 million, just last summer.
According to a report from The Daily Express, it is claimed that Jurgen Klopp’s Merseysiders, who were linked with Mbappe in the recent past, are considered the frontrunners to land his signature ahead of European champions Real Madrid.
Liverpool’s chances to bring Mbappe to Anfield have certainly been given a shot in the arm which would come as a surprise to many considering it was Real Madrid who were tipped as the favourites to sign the France international frontman.
It is now said that Mbappe’s dream of making the move to the Bernabeu is all but ‘over’ after he rebuffed the opportunity to join them last summer and instead put pen to paper on a mouthwatering contract extension in Paris.
