A long-standing transfer target for Liverpool in Ismaila Sarr has asked for a move away from Watford this summer which could mean that Jurgen Klopp’s side will be stepping up their interest in signing the player.
Reports from The Express claim that Sarr has demanded a move away from Watford in light of Liverpool keeping close tabs on the Senegal international wide man who is now back in Premier League football with the Hornets.
The Liverpool boss has been on the hunt for attacking reinforcements over the course of this summer’s transfer window with the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi linked with an exit from the Anfield camp before the deadline later this month.
Despite Liverpool putting up a solid show on the attacking front in the opening game of the 2021-22 Premier League season in which the Merseysiders secured a convincing 3-0 win over the league’s new boys Norwich City, Klopp has remained on the search for options to provide cover for his frontline names.
West Ham United first-teamer Jarrod Bowen is one such name who has been linked with a move to Merseyside this summer but the talk of the 24-year-old calling it quits at The Hammers has dwindled as of late.
