Liverpool to demand a sizable fee for Nat Phillips’ sale with Bournemouth interested

Liverpool are set to demand a sizable fee for Nat Phillips’ sale with Bournemouth interested in a permanent approach for their loan signing.

The central defender left the Anfield fold to sign for Bournemouth in the January transfer window earlier this year with first team opportunities on the low under Jurgen Klopp’s charge.

Bournemouth’s inspiring run of form in the Championship makes them serious candidates who are eyeing a return back to England’s top flight and Phillips has been a key performer at the back for Scott Parker’s men.

A report from The Liverpool Echo’s Richard Garnett has claimed that Parker would be keen on launching a permanent bid to land Phillips this coming summer but Liverpool are likely to up the asking price to sanction the defender’s departure.

Klopp had relied heavily on the 25-year-old in the second half of the 2020-21 campaign to bail out an injury-ravaged Liverpool side to a top-four finish and clinch a Champions League berth heading into the next season.
