The Reds were paired against Champions League record-holders Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of the elite competition following the draw held on Friday morning.
Liverpool FC’s journey to the last eight of the UCL was ensured through a two-legged win over German opponents RB Leipzig and the second leg result was an indication that Jurgen Klopp’s under-fire outfit was slowly but steadily returning to their best.
Going up against the La Liga giants, however, could prove to be quite a stern test for the Anfield giants, who would first make the travels to Sapin before hosting Zinedine Zidane’s men in the return leg just eights days after.

According to reports from the club’s official website, scheduling of the fixtures are due to take place on April 6 and April 14 for both legs respectively.
A win against Real Madrid could set up a prospective semi-final meeting for Liverpool FC against either FC Porto or Chelsea with Thomas Tuchel’s in-form Blues being drawn to face the Liga Nos giants.
