Signing Borussia Monchengladbach’s Florian Neuhaus is bound to be an expensive affair for Liverpool this summer and it is one which could set back the Merseysiders by a fee north of €40 million.
The Germany international has been heavily linked with a summer move to Anfield after Jurgen Klopp making it a priority to sign the midfielder to fill the void left by the long-serving Gini Wijnaldum.
With Neuhaus enjoying a brilliant campaign last time around in the Bundesliga with Monchengladbach, there is interest in his services from some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including the likes of Bayern Munich and Liverpool.
All a question of price when it comes to Neuhaus. The exit clause for this year has expired. He will have another exit clause next year (€40m). For #Bayern or #LFC to sign him now they will have to pay more than the record fee #Gladbach received for Xhaka (€45m). @Transfermarkt

TransferMarkt’s Manuel Veth claims that Jurgen Klopp’s side are poised to fork out a record fee to the German club who had received €45 million upon sanctioning the sale of Granit Xhaka to Arsenal in the summer of 2017.
It remains to be seen whether Klopp and Liverpool decide to go ahead with their pursuit of the 24-year-old Neuhaus, who despite his seemingly inflated price-tag, possesses a fantastic ability to anchor the midfield.
