Liverpool to take decision on Naby Keita’s future in the January transfer window

Liverpool could be forced to take a decision on midfielder Naby Keita’s future in the January transfer window following his recent run of form proving a headache for his boss Jurgen Klopp.

Keita was on the scoresheet last time around against Atletico Madrid with the Gineuan international doubling Liverpool’s advantage with a wonder strike after Mohamed Salah had given the visitors an early lead.

Jurgen Klopp, however, is understood to have concerns over Keita’s ability on the defensive front and consistency in form with the Liverpool boss on the hunt for a new midfield signing come January.

According to reports from The Daily Express, Klopp has the likes of Yves Bissouma, Declan Rice and Aurelien Tchouameni on his radar with the talk of making a move for the latter gaining ground as of late with Monaco open to a sale for a sizable fee.

Bringing in a fresh face for the midfield roster at Anfield will be of importance to Klopp but he will need to offload Keita first to free up funds at his disposal and open up a vacancy should the former Leipzig man leave the Liverpool camp.
