Liverpool have reportedly touched base with Bayern Munich star forward Serge Gnabry who is seen as a long-term replacement for Sadio Mane with the latter heading out the exit door at Anfield.
Mane’s future has become the subject of intense speculation in recent days with Bayern keen on moving in for the Senegal winger this summer with just a year left on his current terms with Liverpool.
According to an exclusive report from Anfield Central, it is claimed that the German international Gnabry, who has played in the Premier League before with Arsenal, wants a £13 million/year pay package to join Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.
Gnabry’s contract situation is similar to Mane’s with both players heading into the 2022/23 campaign with one year left on their existing deals and Liverpool are hopeful of reaching an agreement with the former to bolster their attacking roster.
Jurgen Klopp landed Luis Diaz’s signature in the January window earlier this year and the Columbian winger has been stellar so far in his life on Merseyside but the Liverpool manager remains on the lookout for reinforcements should Mane leave.
