Liverpool have turned down the chance to sign Brighton forward Leandro Trossard despite an offer from the player’s agent to broker a move to Anfield.
Trossard’s exceptional run of displays for Brighton so far this season has made the Belgian a coveted name in the transfer market with some of the biggest Premier League clubs chasing his signature.
According to a report from The Liverpool Echo, it is claimed that the Anfield camp have rebuffed the opportunity to bring in Trossard who has also been offered to Manchester United and Chelsea ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.
It is said that Liverpool are on the hunt for attacking reinforcements midway through the campaign to bolster an injury-stricken front line that has lost both Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota to long-term injury concerns.
With the 2022 World Cup going on in Qatar, Liverpool continue to be linked with several high-profile names in world football as Jurgen Klopp looks to overhaul his sqauad in the ageing transfer windows.
