Liverpool are reportedly ‘very interested’ in PSG youngster Warren Zaïre-Emery.
French outlet RMC Sport has reported that the Reds join a host of other clubs interested in signing the youngster, who is seen by PSG as a future first-team regular.
Manchester City have already approached Zaïre-Emery, as Pep Guardiola reportedly ‘adores’ the player. The Cityzens asked PSG to include the young midfielder as part of a deal which sees Bernardo Silva move to the Parc des Prince. The French club apparently declined, stating Zaïre-Emery to be ‘untransferrable’. They’ve instead offered either Gianluigi Donnarumma or Marco Veratti as potential swaps for Silva.
However, Zaïre-Emery’s camp sees first-team football as essential in determining his future at the club. The 17-year-old has two years left on his contract but isn’t guaranteed to sign an extension past that.
The Reds along with German club Borussia Dortmund remain extremely attentive to the situation. Jürgen Klopp’s team are very interested in the midfielder and are waiting to see things progress with their other pursuits before making a move for the French youngster.
Dortmund on the other hand, are looking at him as a more immediate solution, after key midfielder Jude Bellingham departed the club for Real Madrid earlier this week.
With 8 starts and 18 appearances from the bench, Zaïre-Emery is being eased into the PSG first team. However, if he feels like things are moving too slowly for his liking, an interesting transfer might be on the cards.
