After handing a 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on Monday evening at Anfield in a Premier League clash, Liverpool FC get set to play hosts to the Gunners once, only this time the occasion being the fourth-round fixture of the EFL Cup.
Despite early moments of defensive frailties against Arsenal earlier this week, Liverpool FC held on to a strong comeback showing to stage a convincing win over the Gunners and would be hoping to replicate a similar kind of performance against the North London outfit on Thursday.
A fourth-round fixture date with Arsenal was booked last week as a result of the Reds gave out a rambling 7-2 defeat to Lincoln City away from home, largely inspired by fantastic displays from the fringe players at Jurgen Klopp’s disposal, namely Takumi Minamino and Curtis Jones.
The visitors, however, will also be on the lookout to bounce back from their horrid overall performance at Anfield, with Alexandre Lacazette being regarded one of the worst players on the pitch on Monday and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also looking highly out of sorts when up against Trent Alexander Arnold.
