Arsenal meanwhile have a number of questions over their mental after their defeat at Sheffield United earlier this month and Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Palace, which saw them throw away a two-goal lead at home to their London rivals.
The man talking point at Arsenal has been about Granit Xhaka’s reaction to being booed off the field by his own fans, with the club captain cupping his ears and seemingly swearing at the supporters before angrily taking his shirt off and heading straight down the tunnel.
Unai Emery has remained tight lipped and has not confirmed whether Xhaka will remain as the club captain.
Sepp van den Berg will start alongside Joe Gomez at the heart of the Liverpool defence with Virgil van Dijk likely to be given a rest.
In the full-backs position Neco Williams could make his senior Reds debut as their right-back, with James Milner starting on the opposite flank.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who scored two brilliant goals during Liverpool’s recent 4-1 win over Genk in the Champions League and is likely to feature against his old club on Wednesday, Lallana and Naby Keita are likely to feature in midfield alongside Chamberlain.
In attack Divock Origi will be the senior figure, with Rhian Brewster leading the line for Liverpool. Harvey Elliott will make his senior debut for Liverpool.
For Arsenal Reiss Nelson is unavailable which means that Smith Rowe and Saka might start as the two wingers with in form Martinelli as the main striker.
In midfield Xhaka is likely to be taken out of the side which means Lucas Torreira and Joe Willock are expected to come into the side.
In defense Holding will likely have Shkodran Mustafi as his partner at the heart of the Arsenal defence with Bellerin and Tierney as the two full backs.
Emiliano Martinez will replace Bern Leno as the goalkeeper.
