Liverpool welcome arch-rivals Manchester United to Anfield for the midweek derby clash with the home side seeking the three points to keep the pressure on the table-toppers Manchester City.
The Reds turned out at the Wembley over the weekend to claim a narrow 3-2 win over Manchester City and book their place in next month’s FA Cup final against Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have been upbeat on all fronts as of late and would be hopeful of doing the job on home turf against an embattled Manchester United side that has ambitions of a top-four finish.
Ralf Ragnick’s side, meanwhile, posted a 3-2 win against relegation favourites Norwich City with a hat-trick from talisman Cristiano Ronaldo proving decisive.

Diogo Jota’s minor ankle injury is not expected to turn into a major injury scare for the Anfield camp with the Portugal international expected to return to the fold in time for Tuesday’s game.
