Liverpool FC turns their focus towards the Champions League once again as they host Midtjylland on the back of a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Sheffield United on Saturday.
Diogo Jota’s header in the final third of the game sealed all three points for the Reds over the weekend, despite going behind to the Blades in the 13th minute. Roberto Firmino also got on the scoresheet, almost a rarity in recent times for the Brazillian forward.
Both team’s opening Champions League fixtures last week were quite contrasting, with Liverpool FC digging out an impressive 1-0 away win at Ajax, meanwhile Midtjylland being subject to a 4-0 thumping at the hands of Atalanta.

TEAM NEWS
Jurgen Klopp is expected to make a number of changes to his starting XI that will take the pitch at Anfield on Tuesday night following the weekend’s win over Sheffield United, a game that marked the much-awaited return of Alisson to the lineup after a month on the sidelines.
Recent injury absentees in the form of Thiago Alcantara and Joel Matip continue to be assessed ahead of the Midtjylland fixture, however, it is believed that Klopp will not want to gamble upon either player’s fitness, and could be set to rule out the pair for the upcoming game.
Kostas Tsimikas nears his return to the first-team fold at Anfield following his thigh injury last month, but would not be taking part in the match against Midtjylland.
