After edging out Ajax to a slender 1-0 away win in their opening Champions League fixture, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool FC get ready to play hosts to Sheffield United on Saturday evening, with the Merseysiders hoping to put an end to a two-game winless streak in the Premier League.
Klopp would be confident of his side’s chances of sailing through to an easy victory over the upcoming Anfield visitors. Several first-team regulars for the Champions of England have seen their on-field involvement curtailed in recent weeks due to injury issues, but with an impressive squad depth at his disposal, the Liverpool FC boss will be hoping to come out on top against Wilder come Saturday.
The visitors have not been on their convincing best of late, despite the plaudits earned last season by Chris Wilder’s men, and with a number of significant incomings this summer at Brammall Lane, the Blades need to hit the ground running in a swift manner to record their first win of a new season of top-flight football.

TEAM NEWS
With Virgil van Dijk’s 2020-21 campaign possibly suffering an untimely end because of the ACL injury sustained by the Dutch centre-back in last week’s draw against Everton, he would play no part in the Anfield fixture against Sheffield United.
Alisson Becker continues to work his way to full fitness, and the Brazilian remains an absentee for the Reds as of now, with Adrian deputizing for him between the sticks in the Liverpool FC shirt.
Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara were not a part of the travelling part to the Netherlands for the Champions League fixture on Wednesday, and it is unknown whether the duo will be in line to take the pitch against the Blades.
