Liverpool vs Southampton – Liverpool’s Predicted Lineup | EPL 20-21

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side have all to play for in what remains of the Premier League season and the Merseysiders would be gunning for a much-required win come Saturday as Southampton visit Anfield.

The Reds had their last top-flight contest called off with the Manchester United supporter base storming onto the Old Trafford pitch over the past week and Klopp’s men would step out on the pitch for their first on-field action in nearly a fortnight following the draw against Newcastle United.

Let us now take a look at how Jurgen Klopp might set his Liverpool side for the game against Southampton

4-3-3

Alisson Becker would be the man between the sticks for Liverpool behind a backline that now has Nat Phillips back from his recent hamstring trouble.

Phillips’ return means that Fabinho is now back in his trusted midfield role alongside the faces of Thiago Alcantara and as Gini Wijnaldum continues to underperform, Klopp might be tempted to give the young Curtis Jones an extended run of involvement.

Roberto Firmino had been named in the starting eleven last time around when the match got called off and the Brazillian international remains in line to grab the striking role ahead of Diogo Jota.
