Liverpool are chasing the signature of Borussia Dortmund starlet Jude Bellingham as their club-record signing in the next summer transfer window.
Bellingham has seen his stock in world football grow rapidly since his move to Dortmund from Championship outfit Birmingham City with the England international putting out a dazzling set of showings for the Germans in recent times.
According to reports from The Daily Star, Jurgen Klopp has zeroed in on the 18-year-old Dortmund midfield talent as his priority target for the 2022 summer window with the Liverpool boss open to splashing a record fee on signing Bellingham.
The Merseyside giants are understood to be keen on bolstering the midfield ranks at Anfield following the exit of the long-serving anchorman Gini Wijnaldum earlier this summer as Klopp put off the need to dip into the market for a replacement.
Bellingham’s age and ability makes him a fantastic buy for Liverpool who could be forced to fork a fee in the region of £80 million to Dortmund who look set to make a huge profit on the young midfielder after having signed him for just £25 million in 2020.
