Liverpool Want To Win More Trophies

Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has revealed that Liverpool is addicted to winning trophies as the Champions League holders look to add the Club World Cup to their trophy cabinet following their trip to Qatar.

Liverpool will come up against Copa Libertadores champions and Brazilian giants Flamengo in Saturday’s Club World Cup final in Doha and it is another chance for the Premier League leaders Liverpool to celebrate winning some more silverware under Jurgen Klopp, having already won the Champions League and UEFA Super Cup earlier this year.

The Reds are already 10 points ahead of 2nd placed Leicester City at the summit of the Premier League table and are looking to end their 30-year drought to win their first Premier League title ever since 1990 and have won 16 out of their opening 17 games in the domestic campaign.

With a chance to be crowned as World Club Cup champions, Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana explained that it is a great chance to win a title and the Reds are addicted to winning trophies, “It’s massive. We are European champions and to be world club champions as well – there are not many people who can say that. We are going to give it our all. It’s like an addiction: you win one medal and you want to win another. You want to win more.”

Liverpool confirmed their spot in the Club World Cup decider after edging Mexican outfit Monterrey 2-1 thanks to Roberto Firmino’s last-gasp goal in the 91st minute of the game.

Flamengo beat fierce South American rivals River Plate in the Libertadores final and overcame 10-man Al Hilal 3-1 in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup.

The 31-year-old English midfielder Lallana then further explained that the final will be a difficult game and Liverpool’s Brazilian teammates will give the Reds some inside information, “It will be a very tough game. I’m sure Bobby [Firmino] and Alisson will give us some inside info into them.”
