Liverpool weighing up move for Porto midfielder Vitinha this summer

Liverpool are understood to be weighing up a move for Porto midfielder Vitinha this coming summer with Jurgen Klopp keen on midfield reinforcements.

Gini Wijnaldum’s exit from the Anfield fold last year created a major void in the centre of the park for Liverpool who are yet to bring in a quality replacement for the outgoing Dutchman.

A report from the Portuguese news outlet Record ( via Sports Witness) has claimed that the Merseyside giants are interested in launching a bid for the highly-rated Porto man Vitinha.

Liverpool could be forced to fork out a sizable sum in the region of €40 million for Vitinha on the back of his superb campaign so far under Sérgio Conceição in the Porto shirt with some of the other clubs across Europe also keeping tabs.

Vitinha had spent the 2020-21 season on loan in England’s top flight at Wolves but failed to impress the Molineux outfit enough to trigger the €20 million buy option in his contract and sign him on a permanent basis.
