Watford winger Ismaila Sarr is once again on Liverpool’s transfer radar with Jurgen Klopp backed to add fresh blood to his attacking options at Anfield heading into the 2020-21 campaign next month.
Liverpool star duo Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane endured mixed fortunes in front of the goal last season and it was only the go-to man Mohammad Salah and Anfield new boy Diogo Jota who delivered consistent showings in the final third of the pitch for Klopp.
Sarr has been a long-term target for the Merseysiders who had decided against making a move for the Senegal international last summer to pursue the then Wolves star forward Diogo Jota who proved to be an excellent piece of transfer business for the Anfield camp.
Reports from the 90min suggest that Liverpool are in line to fork out up to £40 million to land the signature of the Championship star who netted 13 goals besides registering four assist for the Hornets across the 2020-2021 domestic campaign.
Sarr’s potential addition to the Liverpool first-team ranks could come as a major boost to Jurgen Klopp on the transfer front with the Liverpool boss having signed only Ibrahima Konate so far this summer.
