Liverpool willing to entertain offers for first-team outcast Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Liverpool are willing to entertain offers for first-team outcast Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield in recent times.

The midfield man was not handed a minute’s worth of football in the final two months of the campaign which has set off intense speculation over Chamberlain’s future on Merseyside beyond this summer.

His first-team opportunities have been severely curtailed over the past year due to the likes of Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott establishing themselves on the Liverpool team sheet on a rotation basis rather than the much-experienced Chamberlain.

According to a report from The Athletic’s James Pearce, Liverpool could be in line to cash in on the former Arsenal man in the ongoing transfer window should a reasonable bid come their way with Jurgen Klopp not keen on retaining the 28-year-old’s services.

Naby Keita, however, is a key player to the Reds camp and Klopp with the latter likely to push for a contract extension to tie the ex-RB Leipzig midfielder to a new long-term deal and snub interest from his suitors in the market.
