Liverpool’s highly-promising youngster Paul Glatzel joins Tranmere Rovers

20-year-old Paul Glatzel has departed Anfield to join fellow Merseyside outfit Tranmere Rovers in a season-long loan deal, confirm reports from the club’s official website.

Glatzel has been a regular fixture on the Liverpool U23 teamsheet but had endured an injury nightmare this past season which severely curtailed his time on the football pitch.

Liverpool’s youth academy has produced a number of notable stars in the recent past some of which such as Curtis Jones and Neco Williams now occupy first-team credentials under Klopp’s charge at Anfield.

His move to Micky Mellon’s Tranmere Rovers side which plays in the League Two is a sign that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants the young forward to feature on a regular basis to enhance his potential.

Glatzel’s exit from the Liverpool fold means that the club has now offloaded another of their young stars after the U23’s skipper Liam Millar joined Swiss side Basel in a move that has earned Liverpool just north of £1 million in transfer fees.
