Liverpool’s interest in signing Porto star Otavio has been dismissed days after rumours claimed that the 27-year-old was a top target for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The Portugal international was linked with a move to Anfield with reports over the weekend tipping Liverpool to revisit their long-standing interest in the winger who can also slot in the central midfield role.
According to a fresh claim from The Liverpool Echo, the Merseyside Reds are in line to distance themselves from the speculation with club insiders admitting that Liverpool does not have any interest in moving in for Otavio.
These turn of events could signal that Liverpool are done with their business in the transfer market for this summer’s window after bringing in three new recruits in Fabio Carvalho, Darwin Nunez and Calvin Ramsay.
Klopp, however, is expected to give his nod to a number of outgoings before the start of the next season with the likes of Neco Williams and Nat Phillips ready to be cashed in on after being deemed surplus to requirements.
