The Liverpool FC squad commenced their pre-season preparations at their new training camp in Austria ahead of the coming season. Jurgen Klopp’s side had scrapped their initial plans to hold pre-season arrangements at the Southern France district of Evian and had instead traveled to Austria for the same.
Many similar faces of Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League title-winning squad were spotted at the Saalfelden training facility, which is located near Salzburg. Mohammad Salah, Sadio Mane, Virgil Van Dijk, and James Milner among others were all present at the Reds’ squad meet up after the player’s short break following the end of the 2019-20 season.
Liverpool FC’s latest recruit in the summer transfer window, Kostas Tsimikas was also pictured at his new club’s pre-season training camp. The Greek left-back was Jurgen Klopp’s first signing of the summer and arrives at Anfield to provide cover for Andy Robertson.
Moreover, several returning loanees in the form of Loris Karius, Rhian Brewster, and Marko Grujic also took part in the training sessions. However, Harry Wilson, who had been loaned to AFC Bournemouth last season, was missing from action amid rumors surrounding his future at Liverpool FC.
A number of Liverpool FC youth team players were also included in the pre-season squad for the Premier League champions. Starlets Ki Jana Hoever and Nathan Philips joined the company of Liverpool FC’s senior-squad members Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez for the training drills at Saalfelden.
