Liverpool’s second leg tie against RB Leipzig could be moved away from Anfield

Liverpool FC could be forced to play out their second leg fixture against RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League away from Anfield, according to recent reports from the Daily Mail.

The Reds had emerged victorious in the first leg of the two-legged Last 16 tie upon their visit to Budapest as travel restrictions due to COVID-19 prohibited Jurgen Klopp’s men from making the trip to Germany to face Leipzig.

And now reports are claiming that both teams could be set to return once again to the Hungarian capital city due to the rules put in place meaning that the Bundesliga outfit would have to enter 10 days of quarantine upon their return back to base should they visit Anfield this month.

The Puskas Arena looks to be the likeliest of venues for the game scheduled to be played at 10th March in light of recent events, leaving it uncertain as to how Klopp and Co. would react to such news.

Liverpool FC have made Europe’s elite club competition their number one priority in recent times since their title-defence campaign suffered rounds of devastating blows after a horrid run of top-flight form left Klopp’s side striving for a top-four finish.
