Man United eye up shock move for Liverpool outcast Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Manchester United are reportedly eyeing up a shock move for Liverpool outcast Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who could be made available for a knockdown asking price this summer.

The England international has seen his first-team opportunities severely curtailed in recent years on Merseyside and is heavily linked with a move away from the Liverpool camp ahead of the start of the new season.

Chamberlain, however, has surprise suitors in Liverpool’s arch rivals Manchester United, who under their new gaffer Erik ten Hag are on the hunt for new signings in midfield, and are keeping tabs on the 28-year-old’s current situation.

According to a report from talkSPORT, the ex-Arsenal man Chamberlain has emerged on the transfer radar at Old Trafford for the incoming Ten Hag with the Dutch manager keen to add quality cover to his ranks.

With speculation doing the rounds that Liverpool could be open to parting ways with Chamberlain for a cut-price fee of £10 million, United would fancy themselves on making an approach for the midfielder’s signature before the transfer window slams shut.
