Manchester City hoping to hijack Liverpool’s plans of signing Jude Bellingham

Manchester City are believed to be hoping to hijack Liverpool’s plans of signing Borussia Dortmund starlet Jude Bellingham in the next summer transfer window.

Bellingham has been a breakout star on the international stage with both club and country and speculation is rife that a move to the Premier League could be on the cards for the teenage midfield maestro.

Liverpool have been credited with a strong interest in landing the player next summer in what is backed to be a club-record transfer fee in the region of £80 million with Jurgen Klopp keeping close tabs on him.

Reports from The Daily Star, however, suggest that Liverpool will not find it as easy as expected to sign Bellingham in the near future with Manchester City too keen on the former Birmingham City first-teamer and Pep Guardiola on the hunt for a successor to his long-serving midfielder Fernandinho.

City’s entry into the fray for the Dortmund talent makes for an exciting contest in the next summer’s transfer window with two of Premier League’s biggest clubs set for an off-field battle to bolster their rosters.
