Manchester City vs Liverpool: Liverpool’s Predicted Lineup | PL 21-22

Liverpool make the trip to the Eithad come Saturday for the all-important Premier League showdown against the table-toppers Manchester City.

Jurgen Klopp’s men last turned out in the Champions League midweek in a crucial 3-1 win away at Benfica with goals from Ibrahima Konate, Sadio Mane and Luis Diaz while Benfica responded through Darwin Núñez.

Let us now take a look at how Jurgen Klopp might set up his Liverpool side for the upcoming game against table toppers Manchester City –

4-3-3

Alisson Becker will retain his berth on the starting team sheet between the goalposts with Jurgen Klopp expected to ring in only one change to his defensive lineup.

Joel Matip, rested for the midweek win against Benfica, will be poised for a return to the first XI with the young Frenchman Ibrahima Konate set to make way.

Changes would also be on show in the midfield ranks with the skipper Jordan Henderson tipped to earn a recall at the expense of Naby Keita who was in fine form last time around.

Up top on the pitch, it should be Diogo Jota leading the line despite Luis Diaz’s brilliance of late with the former set to join Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah in the attacking third of the pitch.
