Manchester United could challenge Liverpool’s plans for Leroy Sane with the Bayern Munich winger linked with a move back to England’s top flight.
Jurgen Klopp has been credited with a strong interest in moving in for the Germany international winger and with Sadio Mane leaving Liverpool this summer, the Reds could step up their efforts for landing Sane’s signature.
According to a report from The Daily Mirror, however, Liverpool’s arch rivals Manchester United have made a surprise enquiry about Sane’s availability with the new boss Eric ten Hag keen to reinforce his attacking options.
The 26-year-old has struggled to adapt to life in the Bundesliga since returning to Germany in 2020 to sign for Bayern and with Mane’s arrival, there are rumours that Sane could further fall down the pecking order.
United are looking to add to their forward roster amid the increasing uncertainty over talisman Cristiano Ronaldo’s future following the 37-year-old demanding for his sale to be sanctioned before the transfer window slammed shut.
