Manchester United are claimed to be in line to strike out an arrangement to land Liverpool target Franck Kessie next summer from AC Milan on a free transfer.
Kessie has his stay at the San Siro coming a close in less than ten months with the midfield man yet to pen a new long-term deal with the Serie A giants beyond the next summer’s transfer window.
Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are understood to be the clubs keeping close tabs on the AC Milan contract rebel who has proven his credentials as one of the highly-rated players in Italy’s top flight division.
Reports from Todo Fichajes, however, suggest that Liverpool’s arch domestic rivals Manchester United will also be joining the race for Kessie’s signature with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer worrying over the long-term future of Paul Pogba at Old Trafford.
The France international has courted attention from Real Madrid in the past and with Pogba yet to agree on extended terms with United, Kessie’s availability in the transfer market will make him a top name on the wishlist for Solskjaer and Co.
