A last-ditch attempt from German top-flight side Wender Bremen to sign Liverpool FC’s outcast Marko Grujic fell through in the last hours of Monday’s deadline day, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
Grujic was a target for both Southampton and West Ham United heading into the last day of the summer transfer window, however, both Premier League sides opted not to make a move for the 24-year old due to the Reds’ price-tag being seemingly high.
As a result, Wender Bremen entered the fray to sign the Serbian international, with Grujic having been a target of a number of Bundesliga clubs over the course of this summer, including the likes of Hertha Berlin, where the midfielder spent two seasons on loan away from Anfield.
However, reports state that Wender Bremen were unable to reach upon a conclusive agreement with Liverpool FC over Grujic’s transfer, meaning that the player will now stay at the Merseyside outfit until January, till the very least.
