Playmaker Mason Mount reportedly wants a shock Liverpool move amid Chelsea exit speculation that is doing the rounds as of late.
The England international feels under-appreciated at his boyhood club and could look to stage an exit next summer with Jurgen Klopp’s Anfield camp considered his favoured destination, according to reports from The Daily Star.
Mount has been one of the top performers in the Chelsea shirt since his breakthrough at Stamford Bridge and the boss Thomas Tuchel is pushing for the club’s board to tie down the 22-year-old to extended terms.
Chelsea have been thrifty in their spending in the transfer market over the past year and have brought in the likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Romelu Lukaku for mega-money deals to bolster the ranks which helped them clinch Champions League glory last season.
The Blues will be certain to dismiss any approach made by Liverpool in the near future for Mount’s signature with the Reds who are on the hunt for attacking reinforcements eager to make major moves in the forthcoming transfer windows.
