Mbappe will not extend stay at PSG amid Liverpool and Real Madrid links, says Adil Rami

World Cup-winning defender Adil Rami believes Kylian Mbappe is on the verge of leaving French giants Paris Saint-Germain amid much speculation that the forward could sign for either Liverpool FC or Real Madrid in the summer of 2021.

Mbappe has been linked with a move to Anfield for quite some time now, and with the Reds’ signing on with Nike as their kit sponsor, many believe that the French international would be lured to join the Anfield outfit, as the American sports supplier are also endorsed by the player.

With his current deal with PSG expiring in less than two years, Rami voiced his doubts over his former teammate in the France national setup trying to extend his stay at the Parc des Princes, with Real Madrid and the Reds both being increasingly keen on signing him.

Speaking to RMC, Rami said, “I think it’s done, especially since it is not moving forward in the discussions,” Rami said. “You have the impression that it annoys him to talk about that. He does not talk about it with the club, his entourage.

“And from the moment that annoys him, he doesn’t want to know anything. It’s embarrassing for him. His future is all mapped out, and it’s sad for the Parisians, even for Ligue 1. I love this player.”

The 21-year old Mbappe continues to be a star presence in the PSG shirt alongside Brazilian superstar Neymar, however, the youngster has not ruled out the possibility of quitting the French outfit to play in another top league in the very near future.
