Michael Ballack tips Jurgen Klopp to coach Germany in the future

Former Chelsea midfield icon Michael Ballack has stated that Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp is the perfect fit for the managerial posting in the German national team setup. Klopp, a German himself, has been the source of great speculation in recent months regarding his next coaching assignment after leaving the Anfield giants.

Ballack, an ex-German international, believes that the current Liverpool FC manager is one of the three best coaches in world football. He added that Klopp was now in a position to freely choose his next destination after his stint at the Merseyside club comes to an end.

‘He is in a position where he can choose anything. Should he ever have enough as a club coach, the position of national coach would be a great story for him and German football. This connection would be perfect.’

‘He is an absolutely exceptional trainer. For me he is one of the three best coaches in the world.’

The Reds manager has refused to rule out a move away from the Merseyside club, insisting that he does see himself at Liverpool FC for a lifetime. However, the German coach had confirmed rumors that he would see out the remaining period of his current deal with the Reds. Klopp’s contract with Liverpool FC runs until 2024.

The German’s stock within the football world has risen dramatically over the past few seasons. Klopp had already made name in his homeland during his reign as the Borussia Dortmund boss. Since his move to Liverpool FC in 2015, more laurels have come the 53-year old’s way.

Klopp led the Reds to their very first Premier League title this season, ending the Merseyside giants’ 30-year wait for league title-winning glory. Last season had seen Klopp’s side clinch the Champions League, followed by further glory in the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup.
