Mohamed Salah Fires Warning To Title Rivals

Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah has stated that Liverpool is looking to build on their purple patch and try to add some more silverware to the club this season following the Champions League success in the summer.

Jurgen Klopp led Liverpool to one of their most successful seasons ever since the club was formed as they gathered an astonishing 97 points but still finished in 2nd place behind Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the league table. However, the 52-year-old German boss is keen on dethroning Guardiola’s team to end their dominance in the Premier League.

The Reds have had a superb start to the season as they sit at the summit of the League table winning both of their games against Norwich City and Southampton. Between those two fixtures, the Merseyside giants managed to win the UEFA Super Cup as well by beating Chelsea on penalties.

And Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah has explained that Liverpool is still in the hunt for more silverware this season as they prepare to challenge on all fronts. The 27-year-old Salah has been lighting up Liverpool’s attack with his goals winning the Golden Boot twice in as many seasons.

However, Salah is nowhere close to being finished with Liverpool as he has echoed his manager Jurgen Klopp’s words when he spoke to CNN and said, “Keep working hard and if you want to win another thing you have to work harder than maybe did in the last season and you have to really be humble, and okay, Champions League is over. It was last year, so forget it. Fight for the new trophies again this season.”

The talismanic Liverpool forward further went on to add, ”If you play in a club like Liverpool, there’s always a big expectation, you have to win something, So there’s always expectation high in the football. So not even if it’s not from yourselves, from the people because they want to see the club winning something.”
