Mohamed Salah has put pen to paper on a new long-term contract with Liverpool in a major boost for Jurgen Klopp’s plans at Anfield ahead of the start of the new season.
The Egypt international has been one of the most influential names in the Premier League since joining Liverpool in 2017 from AS Roma and he added a third Golden Boot to his tally last season as Liverpool finished second in the league standings.

A statement from the club’s official website has confirmed that Salah commits his future to the Merseysiders by penning a long-term extension which will end the talk over his standoff with the Liverpool board.
Salah’s future on Merseyside beyond this summer’s transfer window had been the subject of intense speculation as of late with the Egyptian international holding out for a bumper pay package to agree upon extended terms.
There had been rumours doing the rounds that Liverpool could be forced into an early sale of their star attacking player to avoid losing him on free come the summer of 2023 when the 29-year-old enters free agency.
