Mohammad Salah to be offered an improved deal by Liverpool

Liverpool FC will attempt to extend Mohammad Salah’s stay at Anfield for the foreseeable future as recent rumours indicate that the Egyptian international forward is pondering over his long-term future at the Merseyside outfit.

According to reports from Goal, Jurgen Klopp’s decision to award the captain’s armband to Trent Alexander Arnold instead of Salah for the final group stage UCL clash against FC Midtjylland did not go well with the latter, who voiced his disappointment in a recent interview with Spanish news outlet AS.

As La Liga giants FC Barcelona and Real Madrid eye a mega-money move for the 28-year-old star forward of Jurgen Klopp’s side, the Reds gaffer will seek to immediate options at his disposal in order to ward off any potential interest in Salah heading into the January transfer window.

Salah’s current deal, one which brings about £200,000-a-week worth windfall for the Egyptian, is set to expire in the summer of 2023, however, his recent comments suggesting his unhappiness at Anfield would tempt Liverpool FC to offer improved and extended terms to the ex-AS Roma man.

Salah remains perhaps the most important player in Klopp’s first-team ranks, as was evident with his brilliant showing off the bench at Selhurst Park on Saturday, with him netting two goals and registering an assist within a span of just half an hour after coming on the pitch for Sadio Mane.
