Napoli and Atalanta eye up Liverpool striker Divock Origi for the summer

Napoli and Atalanta are reportedly eyeing up the signature of Liverpool striker Divock Origi for the summer transfer window amidst the uncertainty over his Anfield future.

Origi has been on the fringes of the Liverpool camp with the boss Jurgen Klopp willing to sanction the Belgian’s departure from his ranks in the forthcoming transfer windows.

According to reports from the Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb, it is claimed that Serie A duo Napoli and Atalanta are looking to launch a bid for Origi come the summer when he expected to enter free agency.

There is talk doing the rounds that Liverpool could be in line to table a one-year extension for Origi but with Luis Diaz’s arrival on Merseyside in the recent January window, Origi is expected to be deemed surplus to requirements.

Origi staged his return to the pitch in Liverpool’s 3-1 comeback against Norwich City over the weekend following a lengthy spell on the sidelines which further curtailed his sparse minutes of first-team football.
